One of the researchers who earned this year’s Outstanding Young Scientist Awards from the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA) for his work on organic chemistry is Assistant Professor Yunus Emre Turkmen from the Department of Chemistry at Bilkent University.

To honor and encourage young, exceptional researchers working in the scientific and social sciences, as well as engineering and medicine, TÜBA launched the program to Award Young Scientists (GEBİP) in 2001.
