Emrah Ozensoy Wins Sedat Simavi Science Award
Prof. Emrah Özensoy, chair of the Department of Chemistry, has won the 2022 Sedat Simavi Foundation Science Award for his work “Unraveling Molecular Fingerprints of Catalytic Sulfur Poisoning at the Nanometer Scale with Near-Field Infrared Spectroscopy”, published in the Journal of the American Chemical Society which is the leading interdisciplinary scientific journal published by the American Chemical Society (ACS).
The Sedat Simavi Science Award was established in 1977 by the Turkish Journalists Society. The award is named after the founder of the society, and is given to individuals who have made significant contributions to areas in the natural sciences.
