Bilkent Chemistry Department senior project presentations were delivered on May 29, 2025. Presentations included original research work carried out during the Spring 2025 semester by senior students. Üstünışık Prize for Undergraduate Chemistry Research is awarded to the best undergraduate original research work of each year and this year marked the 15th year of this traditional and competitive prize. Üstünışık Prize Award ceremony was held with the opening speech delivered by the head of the Chemistry Department, Prof. Emrah Özensoy. 2025 Üstünışık Prize for Undergraduate Chemistry Research was awarded to İsmail Yaşar Kökçüler for his “excellence in undergraduate chemistry research and exceptional scientific dedication”.

 

In addition, graduate students Ezgi Kutbay and Umut Mert Karacaoğlu were awarded with the Best Teaching Assistant Award for their “excellence in teaching and exceptional scientific dedication”.
